Over the weekend, 7,000 people took over Yards Park for the never-boring Tour de Fat– a giant beer and bike fest hosted by the New Belgium Brewing Company.

The tucked away Navy Yard gem overlooking the Anacostia River was the perfect setting for the family friendly event.  Guests enjoyed live entertainment, music, and a host of popular DC food trucks. The event raised roughly $50,000 for nonprofits like:  Washington Area Bicyclist AssociationBlack Women Bike DCFairfax Advocates for Better Bicycling, Phoenix Bikes, and Mid-Atlantic Off-Road Enthusiasts.

The event is held all over the country and heads to Durham, NC next.
