The DC Craft Bartenders Guild are holding our 12th Annual Repeal Day Ball on December 7th, 201, celebrating the 86th anniversary of the repeal of Prohibition. The over 650 expected attendees will enjoy cocktails crafted by Washington DC’s and the nation’s best bartenders while dancing along to Prohibition-era tunes. This year the black tie affair will be held at the National Union Building in Penn Quarter.
We’re switching things up this year with an international travel theme! Charles H Baker, famed drinks writer and world traveler, wrote a compendium on drinking around the world and has inspired us to celebrate the jet-setters who avoided Prohibition’s temperance and explored the world! Safari helmets and binoculars encouraged but not required.
