Last week, CAPITOL STANDARD hosted 15 influencers and special guests for our Spring Dinner Series at Blackwall Hitch in Alexandria, VA.

Brought together by the power of curiosity, the dinner series gathered new friends from both sides of the political isle for an honest discussion on television and the power of pop culture.

Sitting on a stretch of water docked with boats and directly across from a colorful artist hub called The Torpedo Factory– Blackwall Hitch restaurant served as the perfect backdrop for fresh food and stimulating conversation.

Special Guests In Attendance

CNBC financial news analyst Adam Zuckerman, CNN political analyst Symone D. Sanders, and WeTV reality star of Money Power Respect Kendell Renee Kelly gave their expert perspective on questions ranging from how to become an on-air personality to the realities of reality TV.

A Curated Dinner at Blackwall Hitch

Blackwall Hitch’s chef prepared a special 4-course dinner for the evening that featured an amuse bouche onion tart with roasted beets, goat cheese, and rose petals.

Guests were then presented with scallop ceviche with cilantro and mango served on a shell. The main course was a perfectly portioned garlic rubbed ribeye with twice backed truffle potatoes.

The dinner ended with coffee, teas, and a chocolate mascarpone parfait.

Introductions. From left to right: FCC Senior Communications Advisor Neil Grace, Carla Sanchez of Spicy Candy DC, Tahera Zamanzanda of Sip With Socialites, and Marc Banks of Bankable PR make new connections.

Guests gathered on the patio of Blackwall Hitch for introductions, refreshing cocktails, and beautiful views of the water.

Moscow mules crafted with organic Blackleaf Vodka were served on the patio as guests mingled.
