Planted in the quickly-growing Ivy City neighborhood, an 800-square foot Ivy Room sits inside a 7,000-square foot distillery on New York Avenue.

The premium cocktail bar insists on crafting their own mixers– serving up house-made ginger beer, tonic, and specialty concoctions.

Ivy Room is a collaboration between lobbyist and DC nightlife king Vinoda Basnayake, Republic Restoratives Distillery co-owner Rachel Gardner and Pia Carusone— former chief of staff to Congresswoman Gabby Giffords.

The Ivy City neighborhood is growing rapidly, thanks to Bozzuto’s new Hecht Warehouse apartments and a bevy of residential amenities like Mom’s Organic market and a Nike superstore.

“We’re thrilled to have a substantial presence in one of D.C’s fastest growing neighborhoods,” says Basnayke.
